Experience and Credentials
I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College, Cambridge, Mass; I have 24 post masters work in Counseling Psychology from Regis University, Denver Colorado and Bachelor of Arts degree in Personnel from University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio.
I have 20+ years as an Assistant College Professor teaching Psychology, Sociology, Management, Leadership, Human Resources Development. As the Academic Director I was the liaison between 300+ faculty and students, the Resident Center Administrator and the Vice President for Distance Learning.
Sports Psychology
I am currently completing my PhD in Sports Psychology. My interest lies in discovering ways to assist athletes to improve their performance by visualizing the process to include overcoming any barriers that might prevent goal attainment preventing performance improvement. My experience and research in this area has allowed me to use similar concepts when working with both athletes and non athletes.
In the area of sports, I have worked with various athletes in helping them to develop their mental game allowing them to improve their performance in their individual sport. Additionally, I have coached youth basketball, football and baseball. My most enjoyable coaching moment was watching my pitcher throw a no-hitter.
Personal Life
I reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado where I enjoy golf, race walking, racquetball and climbing. I am an avid reader, and enjoy writing as well. I am also a very avid sports fan, especially baseball. I recently had a book published, entitled, “Joshua and the Magic of Baseball.” My real passion is teaching and working with my clients.
